You can’t ride and handle a llama at the same time, unfortunately. You may, however, connect a lead to it and have it follow you around.

It’s important to remember that if one of the llamas is attached to a rope, the rest of the herd will follow. When you put a lead on another llama, a second caravan will develop, and so on.

Trader Llama in Minecraft

Though they have some parallels, a trader llama is not the same as a llama in Minecraft. Llamas belonging to a roaming trader can be found wandering the game.

A trader llama is unable to wear a saddle or horse armor but can spawn with a carpet for decoration. You can also equip a chest to a trader llama, which can hold up to 15 stackable pieces.

Where to find trader llamas

Trader llamas will spawn naturally in Minecraft, and these llamas will be tethered to a roaming trader. The roaming trader and his trader llamas will track you down as you play the game.

You can tame and ride the trader llama if you break the lead between the roaming trader and the trader llama, just like a normal llama. You don’t have to kill the wandering trader to unleash its trader llamas because there are a few different ways to do so.

If you’re having trouble locating a trader llama, you can use a spawn egg or a hack to summon one.
