According to a recent test conducted by HardwareLuxx, which compared the Ryzen 7 3700X at various memory speeds, DDR4-3600 with a CL18 was the sweet spot for Zen 2 builds in terms of performance versus price.
According to AMD, the sweet spot for Ryzen 3000 series processors in terms of price to efficiency ratio is 3600MHz CL16.
